The Solar Eclipse and Libra Ingress of September 2025

In September of this year we had a solar eclipse on the 21st and then an equinox on the 22nd. Eclipses and equinoxes are both important events in Mundane Astrology and they have one thing in common- both amplify the general astrological “energy” that is active at the moment they occur for at least some months to come. At the time of both of these events Mars was forming a square aspect to Pluto. Mars-Pluto combinations are potentially violent, destructive and explosive, and so it was very conspicuous back in September that this energy was being amplified, almost simultaneously, by two important celestial events.

One can reasonably expect that locations on the earth where such a Mars-Pluto square is engaging (by conjunction or hard aspect) with the angles (Asc-Desc/MC-IC) at the time of an eclipse or equinox, could end up being locations where the brutal energy of the aspect will become visibly manifest in the weeks and months that follow- especially when triggered by transits to the root charts.
