There are certainly other factors that could enter into your astrological equations- but Planets, Aspects, Signs and Houses are the most essential components of the system, and the appropriate place to begin. What follows is a basic description of these elementary symbols and their astrological significance. Although most of what will be presented here is conventional western astrology, I have here and there infused the content with bits of Vedic astrology where it seemed appropriate. Often one system makes explicit what is implicit in the other.
