At the sharp edge of astrological calculations the specific location on earth of the matter under consideration becomes key. For example, when planets are “angular” at a given time and place, in other words if they are exactly conjunct or opposite the ascendant or midheaven, their influence becomes pronounced.
It is widely believed that if you change your location after your birth, if you travel or relocate to a relatively distant place, you will in the new location experience the astrological narrative that would have been produced had you been born, at the moment of your birth, in that different location. If you were born in Mexico City and you find yourself in London, you’ll on some level experience the life you would have lived, had you been born at that very moment of your birth, but in London.
But there are other very significant ways locality is explored and applied astrologically, particularly in relation to eclipses, for example. We are interested in the astro-locality factor in world events, and the timing of such events.
Through lectures, courses and research projects we aim to develop a cohesive and practical approach to this topic.
